Durryl Xavier born in Los Angeles, California always knew he was destined and created for something bigger. Growing up in the heart of South LA, Durryl always knew he was different. His creativity shined bright, he colored outside the lines, and he was known to create games to play in the front yard with the kids in his neighborhood. After experiencing a few glass ceilings in corporate retail, Durryl registered for full time studies at Santa Monica College in 2017. He began his college journey in Photography and somehow segued into the Fashion Program. Although this was not initially his plan, it became a part of something bigger. Durryl continued to channel his energy into fashion as another creative outlet and self-proclaimed himself the “Le Jenke of LA”. Durryl’s goal as a Designer is to fashion clothing that would make anyone wearing it feel important and make them stand out in a crowd. With his Faith being bigger than his fear and hot glue holding his sanity together, no form against him shall prosper. 

 

He envisioned and commenced his namesake clothing brand, DXPECTATION, with the launch of his spring 2019 collection. A play off his first and middle name DURRYL XAVIER will always beat YOUR XPECTATIONS ! His debut collection was showcased in Spring 2019 at The LA Mode Fashion Show and has been printed in local publications such as California Apparel News. 

Just when the caterpillar thought his life was over, he began to fly!
